back to the white t

h&m t; levis cutoffs; vintage belt; gifted bag (it used to be gold colored, now it's rusty-ish close to black); rubi/cotton on via zalora boots (phs 1-2); zalora birkenstock-like flats (ph3); aizilim necklaces and rings; forever21, souvenir shop, kristine's in limketkai center/mall bangles/bracelets; dad's sunglasses

It's been hot and then a bit colder with cloudy skies in the late afternoon recently. Spring-like weather slash temperatures from nations nearest the equator, I guess? ....and this is why I am officially back to the white t and denim shorts, short skirts/dresses train again...I guess. It certainly hasn't been raining much. Ugh. Finally.

Hmn...you'll probably be seeing a lot of variations of this more often now...on the way to my favorite season that's summer.

button front skirt

forever21 shirt and silver chain necklace, secondhand buttoned skirt, CLN wedges, apt 9 (via kohl's) bag, souvenir shop black shell bangles, from aunt yellow beaded necklace as bracelet, aizilim necklace and rings, smashbox (at Ayala Centrio) netted choker, random socks, vintage hammered bangle

The skirt is one of my most-prized secondhand/thrift finds because of the make of it. I wanted to sell it on ebay or include it to the items I am putting up there but after this, I'm on the verge of rethinking doing so though I hardly really wear it much compared to others I have. This thing is just teeming with so much potential after this experimentation for me right now. It works best with a boyshort but I suppose patterned tights will work well with it too. It is sort of high-waist so when shirts are tucked into it, it looks like it's banded around the waist. It's also the least basic with the buttons in front black skirt I own at this time. On the other hand, after so many isolated wears and washes, it seems this f21 shirt is about to give up. Hmn...

Well, Christmas parties are being thrown here and there now and it's still a week or so more before that fated day. Yep, it's becoming more and more festive now. I haven't yet decided what to wear to one this coming Friday at an aunt's place. The again, I normally dress according to mood so we'll see how that goes later...

staples

Note to self, new footwear needed. I'm still in the process of acquiring a few of them. At the moment, my Dumaguete/Silliman University wardrobe is pretty limited.

pop of colors

A li'l pop of orange and yellow to liven up the outfit of the night on a random night out in a cafe with dorm mates after dinner at a fastfood joint. Spices thing up a bit, eh? Needless to say, it was a fun night of intermittent reading, nonsensical and very random chatter and laughter until 10:30 came and we had to go home. I'm definitely back to crafting that thesis this early morning.

uniform

(Photos by Kristel Punu)

I've been living in ponytails, flats, shorts and everything plain pale pink and white these days and yes, it's been that lazy. I do occasionally break out the heels when I want to. I love them too much to miss out on them. I need to work double time on the dissertation or research paper this weekend so that has been pretty much life this past weeks.

Sun shines very infrequently these days and days and nights are as cold as they are in the winter season in western countries. I live in the tropics therefore it makes me question what the heck is going on in my country. Global warming, I suppose.

Speaking of summer and beach trips, I'm thinking I'll need something like this and some irrational walking and biking ankle boots complete with heels to traipse around small islands with akin to this in black from Forever21. The first would be my first comfy (or is it? It's a theory that needs testing) drabby slash clean and simple beach foot wear to date---note that I don't own any of the typical Havaianas that most people have in this side of the world---and the classic black pair of ankle boots would be my nth pair somehow. I'm eying the ones I found in Primadonna. Oh and they just opened a branch in Robinsons Dumaguete so yay! Other than that, I think Tribu is a brand of beach footwear I'd wear to death...sort of like how Birkenstocks seem to be staple for the Olsen twins and my favorite fashionblogger. Definitely staple footwear for when I'm with family and/or friends in random beaches, islands and resorts once its comfort and style flexibility has been proven true.

Off to grab an apple or two and then to the library. Yep, the life of a bumbling literature graduate student. It's stressing me out, to be honest.

PS I'm too lazy to tag whatever the heck I'm wearing. Feel free to do whatever if your curious. Formspring, tweet, e-mail, whichever works.

tea house

(photos by JM Dumlao)

I am floor colored, apparently. Almost everything but the shoes is vintage. I'm super late in posting stuff. There're so much things on my hands and on my head at the moment. That magazine JM and I were discussing on in this new place she recently discovered around the city and brought me to, Chinkee Tea. It's a dainty little tea house near the local Ateneo I used to attend that easily got me addicted to their classic milk tea and some butter cookies. Had I saved enough for this Christmas break, I'd be going back there again and again and again. Otherwise, I'm sticking to the chai tea I concocted earlier today and got my dad into and the rest of the household. Definitely inviting friends over the next time I decide to make another of it. I always often prefer home made stuff to the ones that can easily be bought anywhere.

Has anyone ever been to this online store What a Girl Wants just launched, shopWAGW? Currently obsessed with the men's section with their large selection of henleys and baseball shirts plus that sequinned mini bandage skirt in black that I think would make an awesome get up for the Christmas and NYE parties to come. That is, if there are any given Pablo who merely, recently passed by and damaged, wrecked havoc on a good part of Mindanao.
