hello, goodbye

(my photo)

I'm leaving this workstation for another couple of months. It's time to get productive and minimize blogging again up until October. And then I figure I'll blog a ton when I make it here again when the semester's break comes.

it's one of those days one could say 'it's so good to be home'

(Photos by Jan Michelle Dumlao and me)

(Forever21 thermal, ankle boots, and leaf necklace, Mossimo cut offs, random tights, random speckled gold headband, vintage/thrifted messenger bag)

The twilight hour. That period when the sun is about to set is perhaps the best time to shoot photos and that was what we did---Candice, JM and I---after cups of coffee and a lemonade from the 3rd floor cafe in SM Cagayan de Oro, a quick trip to the SM Surplus shop and the Book Sale where I scored a vintage Harvard Classic of the Letters and Treatises of Cicero and Pliny. Weather was indecisive in the early afternoon. It prompted the debate on whether to go with tights or to go without. The former won for reasons unfathomable---I thought it was going to rain in the late afternoon.

It was a ton of fun, we all goofed around at some point. Rather, I did.

more than the content

I've recently developed an obsession with vintage---and by vintage, I mean ancient---literary and esoteric (my reason for liking the esoteric: I never got over my penchant for the esoteric since my teen years) books while checking out the pages on vintage books for sale on Etsy. They give me dual benefits in aesthetics and tasteful reading. On the esoteric note, I found a book on tarot cards and reading from there and a few self-help books I like that aren't like the kinds you find in National Bookstore, the kind that teaches you to meditate and love yourself by doing so narcissistic as it may seem. Never did like the contemporary self-help books, I don't see them that relevant at this time. It's my mission now to find books of this kind from the local Booksale in SM and Gaisano Mall after coffee with my girls whom I miss so much from being in another place too long. On another note: I chose not to hotlink photos from the site sources hence they're on my photobucket and spare the owners hardship on maintaining their blogs. :)

Saeki Yusuke is amazing. Just saying.

Not Really New to the Blogosphere

Well, hello there. Like what the title says, I'm not new to the blogosphere, particularly blogger or blogspot. I had an account in this particular blogging platform once until I decided to kill it and go back to my old blog site: Musings of a Free Spirit in LiveJournal. (All my recent posts are still there). I was too used to the platform there that I didn't bother changing blogging platforms until tonight. Mutual friends in LJ might end up missing me there but late midnight tonight, I'd decided it's for the best that all blogging---jculture or not---that I do will be moved here. So hey, re-welcome me into this part of the blogosphere. I'll try to make this worth your while like I did the old one. Or hope I did the old one.

What to expect of the blog? I'm an erratic and very random blogger. I don't think I should say anything in this matter. So, let's get to know one another here, shall we?
