Yep. I'm still obsessed with this Puma running hat/cap.

Oh and I never really noticed or realized it until now but I have this shirt in two different colors I' suddenly considering getting it in other colors. Mine's in this white one (I'm also currently wearing now as I'm finishing, tying this blog entry up) and in some sort of charcoal, deep gray shade. This shirt is currently available in khaki and red in the link above.

I don't know... One can never have one too many solid colored tshirts and in my case, the white tshirts, I think? I'm your regular very basic but lately flirting with printed stuff on and off girl so you'll know white tshirts are my thing along with white (ribbed) tank tops. This is me so much so that I'm considering getting more Hanes tshirts in the oversized large ish men's (or unisex) size along with their basic undies from Cotton Plus NCR (on Shopee PH) when I get to Metro Manila the week after next so we'll see...

Inasmuch as I love these soft tees from Bench TM PH and the SoEn ones, nothing just beats good old Hanes tshirts and Fruit of the Loom ones for me. These two really last the longest in my closet so it's cool that I have a source for this I can get behind so yep.

I'm not entirely sure why Shopee PH doesn't have City Lady which is my go-to brand of socks thanks to this valentines' day-ey pair over here...hmn... It's fine. It's not like they're my only source for socks I like. I get mine everywhere and yesterday, I was able to get 2 for Php 59 and Php 79 per pair from BenchTM Ph in Ayala Centrio. I got kinda lucky. I think I'm only buying from both BenchTM PH and Penshoppe when there are sales online or especially offline, lol. 

I tried to hop off the BenchTM PH train some time ago because their undies don't really last as long with me, SoEn Ph still is on trial for me for how long it'll last and if it'll last longer than my BenchTM PH stuff... I think the most I'd had BenchTM Ph stuff last for me is...3 years? Which is good enough, I guess. It's just the pretty good sales that got me to go back.

BenchTM PH and Penshoppe here are the 2 chain stores that have been competing with one another since forever ago. I volley between the two but at the same time, I'm really not THAT into them most of the time. I dunno why that is the case but yeah... I think most of their designs just really weren't...me. But lately, I feel like Penshoppe has the edge from BenchTM PH because of their minimalist, sporty style and their really comfy linen stuff. Seriously, if you want to know what they're all about rn, get to their stores and you'll be mind blown by their shirts' prints etc. I'm currently contemplating two things from them rn because they have a sale going on today...

I'm currently eyeing this one in gray but at the same time, I think I'm just in deep need of thrifting therapy. I don't need anything new aside from maybe something from Stitch it By J&C so idk yet...hmn... I'll mull over it some more.

I'm also mulling over their undies/panties that are on sale rn because one can never really have enough of those...? They're an essential along with socks and others.

Shopee PH, yes, that orange shopping app, seriously has the better deals for me than shopping in store for some reason. This is why you will very rarely see me looking around malls these days. I actually dislike malls for some reason...? I dunno. Something about me just irk them and I prefer being outdoors more than being in malls...or well, since I'm a homebody most days then, just being at home is better for me than being at the malls. Lol.

I think I'm better off just saving up to get a pair of ankle boots from a brand I'm looking into on Shopee PH. They're Doc Martens-esque but locally made and infinitely more affordable than the internationally marketed ones and they're just as good. I always can vouch on the locally made stuff to last long anyway.

Tsaya CDO/CdeO is currently having a pop up in Limketkai Center/Mall so if you're into their stuff at all, go check them out there. 

The malls are just so chaotic for me lately I'm trying to avoid them as much as possible. It might also be because it's the start of the -ber months and usually August is the CDO/CdeO fiesta month so yep... It feels so much hotter and more humid being out in the mall because of how many people there are there lately. It can get suffocating at certain times. Introvert me just can't...somehow over there.

I think I'm in my orchid era lately though my favorite flower is and always has been, the hibiscus. Tropical hibiscus. You know that because the yet to be launched gram shop's logo is this. Haha.

My only qualm about this totebag is that it's not big enough for me to use it out on the daily. I'm known to carry a ton of things so big bags are really my thing nowadays.

Capri pants, leggings are my thing lately. They're basically an obsession, fixation at this point. They're pretty much most I thrift and I get online though my pants, full pants and jeans collection are regrowing again...? Idk, I just don't really wear enough pants and jeans but I guess you'll see me with them on from time to time these days. It depends on how hot and humid it is here and what occasion/s I can wear these things to.

I've been eyeing these things from Miggy's Apparel on Shopee PH now and they did not disappoint. I'm thinking of getting the grey checkered ones next or the rust ones or both but I dunno yet.

Bike shorts and capris leggings/pants are definitely my almost daily uniform now. Heh.

Before we fully end this post, here are my quick takeaways:

1. I've never really changed. I still like the basics the most: white tshirts. 

I may be going the printed way lately with some basic bottoms but at the core, I'm still your basics basic girlie. I just love my basics and oh, Hanes tshirts and Fruit of the Loom ones are a staple thing for me just because... I still wear my small Hanes ts from years and years ago, graduate school in Dumaguete City era until now.

2. I loooovee capri pants, leggings. 

These are totally like, just a tiny step towards full length pants and jeans and they're just apt for Philippines' lately very rainy afternoons and hot and humid most days weather/tropical climate.

I still love my skirts and still can't get enough of them along with dresses but capris pants and leggings are also my go-tos now. What else? Oh and I'm slowly transitioning back into longer tees though I also love the baby tees. We'll see how this goes...hmn...

Anyway, if you want to see how others style capris pants, leggings, you should look up Isabella Vrana. She has her own line and I'm obsessed with her slinky stuff and capri and full length trouser pants, I'm just sad it's only in London, Europe, still and I don't think she's done any Asian pop up yet...sadly. I'd love for her to do one here in South East Asia.

Most of the items worn here are thrifted and the outfits may more or less be like, a combination of vintage/thrifted/second hand and new. Oh...and mostly local brands sprinkled here and there. 

I may have achieved that wardrobe that's a healthy mix of both which is...pretty good. ....for me, anyway.

I mentioned in the week+ -long Metro Manila trip diary from last, rather early May this year that I got myself a tote bag from SM Store that I needed because I was getting sick of my Kipling crossbody I used daily and it's this one pictured here. I'm a sucker for cream, yep. Anything cream, white, yellow, oh and brown lately, I'd go gaga for.

Changed footwear here just because I was trying to see what works best with the 'fit and quickly found that both the thrifted/second hand ankle boots and this pair of wedges work well especially with this pair of psyduck socks. If you're into the old OG Pokemon with Ash, Misty and all, you'd know.

It's annoying when a shop selling stuff you like get banned from a shopping, selling platform, app just because of some policy changes. ....even if the policy changes are for the good of, especially the sellers (it's tax related). A lot of those I like from the orange shopping app have gone and likely mostly facebook-only now because of this and I have to scramble these days to find replacement ones just because...well...poof...they're gone from said shopping app. It's like you like to support local a lot but the universe just won't let you do this.

Here are some replacement wedges I'm looking into instead once I feel like I've worn this pair to death and I seem to be doing so with the amount I wear this thing out a lot these days:

I'm not sure if this is May or June but anyway, yep this is 1.5 of what could have been 2 outfits, I guess...

Here's a closeup of this shirt from Tsaya CDO. It says "kapoy na inyong Disney Princess" (English translation: "Your Disney princess is tired/exhausted"). I'm not really big in Disney, I'm more of a Nickelodeon kid back in the 2010s and the CW when they used to have good (to me, anyway) content or tv shows (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Charmed) but yeah, this was the only shirt in this color I could find in the Tsaya CDO rack at the time when I checked them out at Chouettes Collections in Hayes Street some time early this year so this was the first shirt from them I ever got since. It's in XS too and is stretchy enough to fit me or anyone whoever really decided to get this one and their other shirts there aside from me.

I'm looking to get more of these in the next few days, kind of, well, just one anyway since a friend and I in metro manila are looking to get them with a different design (cat-related, hehe).

Tsaya CDO makes comfortable shirts and is a local company/small business here in Cagayan de Oro City. If you're looking for really locally-made souvenirs or for stuff to give to friends and family, then this is where you go for those. 

Tsaya CDO is in Chouettes Collections in Hayes Street as I mentioned above...if you want to check their stuff out in store. They also do pop ups so keep tabs on announcements on that one on their Instagram. You can also get some shirts, pouches, tote bags and more customized by them by just direct messaging their 'gram. My friend and I are doing the latter later for their cat-print shirts they used to have way back.

This was a random hang with myself and a good friend in Ayala Centrio, Cagayan de Oro City. I'm a sucker for HK style milk tea lately so you'll often see me drinking or carrying a container/tall glass of Macao Imperial Tea House's classic milk tea whenever I'm out in this area. This was some days before Father's Day, if I remember that right because I bought my dad something from Tsaya CDO that was having a pop up there that time.

I dunno. Something about the running caps, hats from Puma PH just get me. They're affordable, they are also lightweight so they form to your (my) head fine and they also aren't heavy to carry around, attached or snapped to bags.

If I'm buying a new one to replace this one with or at least have something to alternate this one with, I'd be getting the lightweight running cap in likely...white. I'm not a huge fan of the green shade/color but we'll see... I may just need time warming up to it yet. I'll wait until any of the three platforms/shopping apps, sites from has sales going on 'til I decide to bite on anything linked here yet.

This was one day in May (or early June? I don't remember) and I was running around for some errands then decided to change into something else for some late afternoon to early evening work in the Bean Park Cafe's uptown CDO branch. I highly recommend going here if you'd like open air anything and decent wifi connection to go with your food/snacks/breakfast and drinks... Personally, I'm someone who can stay here for like, maybe a whole day or so. Haha.

I have issues with buying Uniqlo anything new. I think I would buy some basics on sale but beyond that, I wouldn't even go during their sales because even then, sale or not, they are and always will be expensive. Whoever says Uniqlo isn't expensive should really rethink their choices in clothing and all and I'm pretty sure most of their stuff is still made in China anyways.

That said, I don't mind finding classic Uniqlo anything at the thrift like this shirt as long as it's versatile and its, well, functional and at a cheaper price than when you buy anything from this brand in store.

....so no, you won't catch me shopping from Uniqlo at any time, whatsoever unless I really need to.

I also have issues with this cami top. It's really cute but it's made of 100% polyester so I dunno. Idk if I'll get rid of it or keep it or... ....we'll see... It might appear on my decluttering 'gram too with the one romper above one day.

I'm From LA...sort of...

Sort of late valentines' day in the right colors post though I didn't really go out on the day nor the night. Should I have, it would have been a dreamy, fairy-ish dress I wore out and about everywhere.

I'm turning out into quite the t-shirt and shorts girl once again although that's old news. And quite literally, I did come from L.A. though that was more near L.A., around the So Cal region and also, that was pretty late last year (December 2015-early January 2016) so...ha.

Normally, I don't wear anything with prints because I'm blah like that but I guess I just had to take this out some time and actually wear it around. Printed shirts actually work pretty well with blazers, or at least I like the look of printed ts with them.

Anyone watched the 58th Grammy's today? How good were Carrie Underwood + Sam Hunt and Andra Day + Ellie Goulding's performances? Right? I didn't stay tuned in for long enough even to try and catch Lady Gaga's tribute to David Bowie in it. Short attention span, I guess. Also, there was the lack of Rihanna I wasn't so fond of. Bieber sort of made up for it considering I do like his recent album, Purpose. It is pretty well-made. Still not really a fan of both Diplo and Skrillex but they'll do at times, I suppose.

As to TV...Kindaichi Shounen no Jikenbo (The File of Young Kindaichi) at 1:30 p.m. eventually won out. Haha. Yes, Animax. Typical asian in the continent's south east region thing, I guess. It is the only anime I watch at this time.

10-peso destroyed denims

Given the hot weather in this part of the world---it often ranges from 25-28 and sometimes even goes from 30-32 in farenheit---I'm not really that keen on wearing pants, denims. This pair, along with a black one with the zippers around the ankles are the only things I wear on rotation especially when everything and everyone else here is onto conservative dressing. Sometimes, it makes me wonder what the point of wearing pants is in this region of the world where heat is often in the extremes. 

This pair is somewhere between the jeggings and the plain old jeans and the best thing about it? I scored this from a local thrift place, a section of the local market, ages ago and got it for just 10 Php. If you think in USD, that would probably be just a quarter or so of a dollar. Dirt cheap but it's great for lazy day, casual wear. 

In this kind of climate we have here, it's often more trousers and skirts for me...or better yet, shorts.   

It's a bit overkill to wear the blazer around the tank but it works. This is basically airport wear for me I've been touting for eons since I always seem to fail posting about that one here. Just switch the heels with a pair of flat sandals or classic black flats and you're (I'm) good to go.

And yes, I'm trying my best to post more this year. I guess this white-colored gate will be a constant view in this blog until then. I'll try to vary it from time to time. We'll see where this goes.  

super heroes, lazy days and crazy, fun nights

The only thing I've succeeded today in doing is watching the whole of Super Hero Taisen and arriving at the conclusion that the whole tokusatsu movie fiasco that brought all kamen/masked riders and sentai/power rangers together is all a front to the Kaitou Daiki x Kado Tsukasa romance. I'm kidding and highly exaggerating of course. Oh and anyone who is into tokusatsu from Japan, it's a kids' show normally, would know what I am jabbering about here. But really, the ending for the movie was all friendship between super sentai and kamen rider and all that sap. I ended up watching the film after having decided it was too late for me to go out to comply with a Sunday obligation/practice and do some poking around thrift shops afterwards. I slept in until at least past 8:30 in the morning, not that I'm not that conscious of the time.

Yesternight was Japanese cuisine night courtesy of the room mate (thank you!)...with coffee jelly ice cream or something like that. Then it was followed by Watsons-raiding for a few things we needed and a long walk from the only Robinsons Mall around to the Rizal Boulevard and eventually around the school complete with me in the Mags flatforms. High heels. Considering they were flatforms, I somehow survived the walk with one or two minor mishaps along the way. And then there was a moment of stargazing by the field in front of the library and walking along unknown terrain in heels. I think I accomplished a ton of balancing feats last night I'm officially thinking I'm too cool for doing so. I'm probably not anything but crazy for doing all that walking.

 Oh and equipment for last night's insanity. The clutch held everything important in it's wee size that I didn't bring anything else but that and the digital camera. It's a gift from my grandmother as is all the other things from that part of the family I own, namely most of my jewellery stash back home. I use the clutch when I'm too tired to lug around the bigger, spacier bags I normally like on most days of the week.

And I'm off to either read or contemplate my next move this seemingly bright Sunday...day. Apart from the planned snacking on some fruit pies from nearby fastfood joints since I'm undecided on what to feed my picky self with, the rest of the day's plans are currently non-existent.
