one part fairy

top/dress/tunic, secondhand; denim shorts (not pictured, underneath the dress/tunic), target; heels, primadonna; bangle/bracelet, secondhand; cross earrings, from multiply years and years ago; necklaces, a gift (from mum) and from a local accessories and etc store

It's really, really hot outside with temperatures still reaching 30s here in the southern part of the Philippines. I'm currently surviving with tons of water, green smoothies in the early morning, lunch and/or dinner and lots of sunscreen/sunblock---Human Heart Nature's is god-sent.
It's Wednesday and I'm all about feeling like a fairy, almost playing the part in this dress, tunic, whatever this is that I've thrifted a year or two ago from Dumaguete City's many thrift shops. It's only appropriate for this kind of extreme heat.
On the other hand, my favorite Jpop all-male group of five, Da-iCE has just released their 8th single, Watch Out, today. Their b-side to the single, çİş, has been on loop on my itunes for a while now. I'm still confused as to how their cover of Aladdin's theme, A Whole New World, was included in the single but it's there. Haha. I still have zero ideas as to how that kanji reads like. I'm the worst at kanji. /cries.

is it spring yet?

mixed berry (dumaguete city shop) dress, vintage/2nd hand boots, apt9 bag, dad's sunglasses, a mix of vintage & souvenir shop bangles

....not entirely sure because it's eternally summer when you're in the Philippines...well, CdeO like I am.

This dress went through a few things. I was about to retire it to the sale bin when the idea of cutting off the long-ish (about 3/4th) sleeve came to me. A few pins here and there, some stitchings and it's now morphed into a summer appropriate dress. The print that reminds me of a topshop dress from years and years ago made me love it from the get go. Its fabric is thin enough for the continuous hot days as well. We haven't been getting any rain at all for eons now.

I didn't mean to disappear on you for 3 weeks. Stuff abound, mostly, internet connection has been scarce for some reason. I'm starting to hate prepaid Smartbro, especially their unlimited internet package, Surfmax. They data cap it now when they used to not to. The only other option really is flexi or big bytes. I'm not often online anyway so either would work.

Life has been about dancing around the room all night almost every night lately. To Cream's Wonderland. It's just such a good, good jpop tune and henceforth has now become my summer anthem.

I'm From LA...sort of...

text t, Zara (gift from a cousin <3); pink shorts and white blazer, thrifted/second hand; heels, primadonna ph; sunglasses, from a stall in dumaguete somewhere; bangles, vintage/second hand and forever21; not pictured: rings from a local store here :)

Sort of late valentines' day in the right colors post though I didn't really go out on the day nor the night. Should I have, it would have been a dreamy, fairy-ish dress I wore out and about everywhere.

I'm turning out into quite the t-shirt and shorts girl once again although that's old news. And quite literally, I did come from L.A. though that was more near L.A., around the So Cal region and also, that was pretty late last year (December 2015-early January 2016) so...ha.

Normally, I don't wear anything with prints because I'm blah like that but I guess I just had to take this out some time and actually wear it around. Printed shirts actually work pretty well with blazers, or at least I like the look of printed ts with them.

Anyone watched the 58th Grammy's today? How good were Carrie Underwood + Sam Hunt and Andra Day + Ellie Goulding's performances? Right? I didn't stay tuned in for long enough even to try and catch Lady Gaga's tribute to David Bowie in it. Short attention span, I guess. Also, there was the lack of Rihanna I wasn't so fond of. Bieber sort of made up for it considering I do like his recent album, Purpose. It is pretty well-made. Still not really a fan of both Diplo and Skrillex but they'll do at times, I suppose.

As to TV...Kindaichi Shounen no Jikenbo (The File of Young Kindaichi) at 1:30 p.m. eventually won out. Haha. Yes, Animax. Typical asian in the continent's south east region thing, I guess. It is the only anime I watch at this time.

blazer and striped shirt combo

Surprisingly, these gladiator-esque heels are the easiest to walk in against the other one that's in really thin wedges. I'll try the socks and heels thing next time. They look pretty rad in a ton of magazines I've been perusing.

Originally, the shorts are long-ish but it has this mechanism you can role its sleeves (?) up and pop and lock it up.

The blazer's buttons have leaves printed on them and it's going to up on sale some time soon. How soon? I'm not so sure yet as I will be away to somewhere from December this year onto the next.
Primadonna heels; vintage/second hand shorts, shirt and blazer; forever21 and others necklaces; Ninewest bag; black bangles/bracelets from a souvenir shop in Dumaguete City; vintage/second hand silver bangle/bracelet rings (not pictured), from a local shop from ages ago.

movie date

(photos by Jan Michelle Dumlao)

Right after Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno, which was awesome despite some modifications to the original storyline that were actually expected (condensing a 5-10 episodes of an arc of the anime [or manga] into one 3-hour movie is never easy), by the way, at the SM cinemas. Of course, some  fooling around at Dunkin Donuts and a bit of window shopping were done.
